Palo Santo, often called “Holy Wood,” is a sacred tree native to the coastal regions of South America. Revered for centuries, its warm, earthy aroma has traditionally accompanied moments of prayer, reflection, and renewal. When gently burned, palo santo releases a soft, grounding scent that lingers quietly, creating a sense of calm and clarity within a space.

Traditionally, this wood was only gathered after a tree had completed its natural life cycle. Ancient practices honoured the belief that palo santo’s qualities were only fully realised when the tree was allowed to fall naturally and rest for many years before use. During this time, the wood would dry and mature, deepening both its fragrance and character.

Today, these same principles guide responsible harvesting. Our palo santo is sustainably wild-harvested using only naturally fallen trees that have rested for between four and ten years. Each piece is carefully selected, and for every tree collected, new seedlings are planted to support the ongoing regeneration of palo santo forests.

Simple, aromatic, and deeply rooted in tradition, this is palo santo as it was always intended to be used. Thoughtfully sourced, gently burned, and appreciated slowly.
